Our client was developing a laboratory diagnostics device and required assistance with the development of the sample control system. The intent was to upgrade an existing product with new features, and as such the electronic control system was required to fit within a defined space with appropriate mechanical, electrical and software interfaces.

• Review of the overall project scope, and worked with the Client to determine an optimal project plan to maximise the speed of development
• Design and development of the related electronic and software architecture
• Electronic schematic design and PCB layout
• Firmware development, including feedback control algorithms
• Designs completed to medical device quality systems and standards, including IEC62304 and ISO13485
• Production and testing of prototypes, including system integration testing
• Handover of working systems, ready for integration into the Client’s upgraded laboratory diagnostics system
